A project to restore a failed slope and construct a side-hill viaduct at two locations on Hwy. 9 continues next week with a long-term closure set to begin Monday April 24.
- Travelers will encounter a full, long-term closure of Hwy. 9 at 0.8 mile south of Glengarry Road. This 24/7 closure will go into effect Monday April 24 at 7 am. This full closure of Hwy. 9 will be in effect through Monday May 15. A detour is available using Graham Hill Rd.
- At a second location on Hwy. 9, a temporary signal providing traffic control will be in place one mile north of Vernon St. Electrical and directional signs will be in place to alert travelers of these closures.
Travelers can expect delays of up to 15 minutes. The contractor for this $6.95 million project is Gordon N Ball, Inc. of Alamo, CA.
