Tree removal work will result in daytime closures of one lane of northbound Highway 17 in Santa Cruz next week.

Starting Monday, April 6 and continuing through Friday, April 10, travelers will encounter a closure of the #2 (right) lane from 9:30 am to 2 pm, between Santas Village Rd. and Vine Hill Rd., just north of Scotts Valley.

Please allow extra time for travel through the area. Travelers can expect delays of between 10 and 15 minutes.

Message and directional signs will be in place to alert travelers.

Contracted crews will be utilizing a crane and removing trees for the safety of all travelers.

Our crews deserve to get home safely too. Drive slowly and carefully in work zones.
