Green your commute and prevent global warming

The My Open Road (MOR) app for Android and iOS allows users to record the amount of carbon emissions they save by carpooling, biking, walking and even skateboarding! The social energy conservation app tells users how much CO2 they’ve prevented from being released and even calculates the fuel savings in dollars.

The use of the app creates a social responsibly score, or SRS, that measures how you’re performing compared to your friends. The higher the SRS, the more benefits customers receive, including freebies and discounts at their favorite retailers. In addition, retailers grow business while reducing CO2 emissions through customers’ positive efforts. The inventors say it’s a win-win-win for consumers, businesses and the earth.
