Overnight Closure of Highway 17 for Repaving Project to Begin June 21st

HIGHWAY 17 PAVING PROJECT IN SANTA CRUZ COUNTY SET TO BEGIN SUNDAY, JUNE 21 WITH OVERNIGHT CLOSURES

A project to pave several miles of Highway 17 in Santa Cruz County is set to begin Sunday, June 21.

Travelers can expect overnight lane closures from postmile 0.74 to 12.55 from 8 pm to 6 am as follows:

June 21:

· Northbound #2 & #3 lane in addition to the closure of the Pasatiempo off-ramp

June 22:

· Southbound #2 lane in addition to the Granite Creek on-ramp

June 23 – 25:

· Southbound #2 lane just south of Granite Creek Rd.

June 28:

· Southbound #2 lane in addition to Mnt. Hermon off-ramp

June 29:

· Southbound #2 lane just south of Mnt. Hermon on-ramp to the Sims Rd. off-ramp

June 30:

· Southbound #1 and #2 lanes of the Ocean St. off-ramp. A detour will be available at River St.

July 1:

· Southbound #2 lane from the summit to Alta Vista Rd.

No lane closures will be in effect between Friday at 6 am thru Sunday at 8 pm. Travelers may encounter delays of up to 5 minutes. The project is expected to be completed by July 2.

 

Our crews deserve to get home safely too. Drive slowly and carefully in work zones.
