Chanticleer Bike/Ped Overcrossing Public Information Meeting
The Santa Cruz County Regional Transportation Commission and Caltrans will hold a public information meeting on October 22,2019 to solicit community input on a Highway 1 project that is under development. This meeting will take place at the Live Oak Grange, 1900 17th Ave., Santa Cruz, CA from 6pm to 8pm.
The meeting will focus on the Chanticleer Bicycle/Pedestrian Overcrossing – a part of the Highway 1 41st/Soquel Auxiliary Lanes Project. The final design and right-of-way phases are underway for this project, which includes construction of northbound and southbound auxiliary lanes, and a new bicycle and pedestrian overcrossing at Chanticleer Avenue. The community meeting for this project will be held for the public to review and provide feedback on the aesthetic treatments of the new bicycle and pedestrian overcrossing linking residential areas, retail and medical/dental facilities.
Community members are encouraged to attend the meeting and provide valuable feedback to the RTC and Caltrans on this multi-modal transportation project bridging the Highway 1 corridor.
