Temporary Traffic Delays Planned on Highway 1 and Harkins Slough Road
Caltrans will conduct intermittent traffic breaks and one-way traffic control on Harkins Slough Road at the Highway 1 overcrossing in Watsonville on Sunday, November 2 between 6:30 am and 12:00 pm.
Traffic Control:
- One-way traffic control with flaggers will be in effect on Harkins Slough Road.
- Traffic breaks will occur briefly on Highway 1 and the on- and off-ramps while lines are moved overhead.
- Flaggers will assist pedestrians and bicyclists as needed.
Travelers should expect delays of up to 10 minutes and are encouraged to allow extra time for their morning travel. The short-duration work is needed to relocate overhead utility lines from an old pole to a new one as part of an ongoing pedestrian overcrossing project at this location.
Work will be performed by AVT Safety for Spectrum. Caltrans thanks the public for their patience during this brief operation to support improvements at the Harkins Slough Overcrossing.
