Culvert Replacement and Sinkhole Repair Continue on Highway 1 Near Buena Vista Drive
Caltrans is continuing emergency repairs on the drainage system and replacing a culvert on southbound Highway 1, near the Buena Vista Drive exit. Crews will be working actively throughout the week of August 4 to August 8, which includes clearing vegetation to access the culvert outlet located just south of Buena Vista Drive.
A closure of the southbound on-ramp at Buena Vista Drive is scheduled for Friday, August 8, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, to facilitate the ongoing work. Travelers should anticipate delays of up to 10 minutes.
It is recommended for travelers to allow extra driving time, follow posted detour signs, and use caution when passing through the construction zone.
