Highway 1 Overnight Ramp and Lane Closures 4/13 – 4/14

Published April 11, 2025

Final Striping on Highway 1 to Result in Two Overnight Ramp and Lane Closures Between Soquel Dr. and 41st Avenue

Construction on a project to add north and southbound auxiliary lanes and bus-on-shoulder improvements on Highway 1 between the 41st Avenue and Soquel Drive interchanges and to aid in construction of a new bicycle and pedestrian overcrossing at Chanticleer Avenue will continue next week.

Final striping will result in overnight ramp and lane closures in advance of the opening of the auxiliary lane on Highway 1 between the 41st Ave. and Soquel Dr. interchanges for two nights on Sunday, April 13 and Monday, April 14. One lane of travel in each direction will remain open during this overnight work.

A previously announced two-week window for this work has been reduced to these two overnights.

North and Southbound Hwy. 1 Overnight Ramp and Lane Closures

Sunday, April 13/Monday, April 14:  Travelers will encounter overnight lane closures of north and southbound Hwy. 1 and closures of the on and offramps of Hwy. 1 at Soquel Drive and 41st Ave.

Alternating closures of a single lane of northbound Hwy. 1 will take place from 7:30 pm to 5 am and alternating closures of one southbound lane will take place from 7:30 pm to 6 am.

Intermittent closures of the on and off-ramps on Hwy. 1 at Soquel Dr. and 41st Ave. will take place northbound from 7 pm to 5 am, and in the southbound direction from 7:30 pm to 6 am.

Please allow extra time traveling through the area.
