Published October 27, 2022

Daytime Traffic Control on Highway 1 at Waddell Bluffs Set to Begin Monday Oct. 31

Preventative winter prep work on Highway 1 to remove debris from the catch basin below Waddell Bluffs in northern Santa Cruz County will result in daytime one-way traffic control beginning Monday October 31.

One-way reversing traffic control will be in effect on Highway 1 from the Waddell Creek Bridge to the San Mateo County line Monday thru Friday from 7 am to 4 pm, beginning on Monday October 31.

Travelers can expect delays of five to 10 minutes.

There is no detour available.

Message and directional signs will be in place to assist travelers in the area.

This closure will permit crews to perform debris removal operations from the catch basin below Waddell Bluffs as well as other essential winter preparation work.

Every person in a work zone is a beloved family member. Please drive safely in work zones.
