Highway 17 Overnight Lane Closures at Laurel Curve Set for Wednesday and Thursday
Travelers on Highway 17 near Laurel Curve will encounter overnight lane closures on Wednesday and Thursday nights this week.
These lane closures will take place on Highway 17, about four miles north of Scotts Valley, near Laurel Road.
- Wednesday May 11: travelers on northbound Hwy. 17 will see travel reduced to one lane from 8 pm to 5 am.
- Thursday May 12: travelers on north and southbound Hwy. 17 will see travel reduced to one lane. The northbound lane closure will be in effect from 8 pm to 5 am. The southbound Hwy. 17 lane closure will be in place from 9 pm to 7 am. During the Thursday overnight work, the closure of a lane will alternate between the #1 (left) lane and the #2 (right) lane.
CHP will be on hand to assist with traffic control.
Message and directional signs will be in place to assist travelers in the area.
Travelers can expect delays of 10 minutes.
These lane closures will permit construction crews to move and adjust concrete barriers and lay down new striping in the roadway.
Caltrans reminds motorists to move over and slow down when driving through highway work zones.
