Overnight Construction Project on both Directions of Highway 17 at Glen Canyon Road in Scotts Valley Starts Monday Night, Nov. 25

Highway 17 will have alternating overnight lane closures in both directions at Glen Canyon Road Undercrossing to remove and replace pre-existing guardrail, repair bridge closure slab, repair and resurface the southbound bridge deck and approaches and provide temporary guardrail and traffic control starting Monday night, Nov. 25. Details are as follows:

Northbound lane closure:
Monday through Thursday from 8 pm to 5 am (following morning)

Southbound lane closure:
Monday through Thursday from 9 pm to 6 am (following morning).

Traffic of 10-15 minutes can be anticipated.

The contractor for this $580,000 construction project is American Civil Constructors West Coast LLC from Benicia, CA. Roadwork is expected to be completed in January 2020, weather permitting.

No roadwork will be scheduled during the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday from Wednesday, Nov. 27 after 3 pm through 8 am Monday, Dec. 2.

Caltrans reminds motorists to move over and slow down when driving through highway work zones.
