Travelers on Highway 9 near Boulder Creek will encounter one-way reversing traffic control starting April 28.

The Highway 9 San Lorenzo River and Kings Creek Bridge Replacement Project is taking place north of Boulder Creek and involves the full replacement of these bridges for the safety of the traveling public.

· King’s Creek Bridge Replacement / Post Mile 15.41 to 15.55

· San Lorenzo River Bridge Replacement / Post Mile 13.58 to 13.69

Traffic control continues Monday, April 27 through Friday, May 1 from 7 am to 5 pm as crews install a temporary signal at these locations.

The temporary signals are scheduled for activation on Tuesday, April 28 at Kings Creek and Thursday, April 30 at San Lorenzo River Bridge providing 24/7 signalized one-way control.

The one-way traffic control supports the ongoing bridge replacement work where crews during this first phase of the project will close the southbound lane to replace the southbound portion of the bridge.

Please allow for extra time for your trips through the area. Drivers can expect delays of up to 10 minutes. Driveways within the limits of the one-way control will have push buttons by their driveways to activate the signal. Temporary shuttle calls will be available from 7 am to 6 pm 7 days a week for pedestrians and cyclists.
