OVERNIGHT TRAFFIC CONTROL ON HIGHWAY 1 IN WATSONVILLE BEGINS WEEK OF APRIL 27
Travelers previously encountered a full overnight closure of southbound Highway 1 in Watsonville, between Buena Vista Dr. and Airport Blvd. in late March.
This work will continue overnight Monday, May 11 through Thursday, May 14 from 9 pm to 6 am. The full closure will also take place during the same overnight hours on Monday, May 18.
A detour will be available. Travelers on southbound Highway 1 will be directed off at the Buena Vista Dr. offramp and proceed to Ranport Rd. before reentering southbound Highway 1 using the Airport Blvd. onramp.
During this overnight closure, crews will perform testing and maintenance following recent construction in the area.
Travelers can expect 10-minute delays. Message and directional signs will alert travelers in advance of the full closure.
