Road Work in Boulder Creek Starting 9/23

Published September 20, 2019

Resurfacing Project on Highway 236 at Boulder Creek from Route 9 to Pine Street Begins Monday, September 23

Caltrans will begin a project to resurface and reconstruct the curb ramps at the intersection of Highway 236/9 in Boulder Creek beginning Monday, September 23. Caltrans will provide one-way reversing traffic control with flaggers within the project area.

Construction will take place weekly Monday through Thursday from 8 am to 4 pm and Friday from 8 am to 2 pm and during the overnight hours Sunday through Thursday from 7 pm to 6 am.

There will be a two-way pedestrian detour available near this intersection where construction will take place.

The contractor for this $192,000 project is Granite Construction Company of Watsonville, CA. This project should be completed in early November.

Caltrans reminds motorists to move over or slow down when driving through Caltrans work zones.
