SR 129 Full Overnight Closure 9/25-9/28

Published September 22, 2017

A full overnight closure of State Route 129 north of Murphy Crossing Road will take place Monday, Sept. 25 through Thursday, Sept. 28, from 8 pm to 5 am.

Motorists headed north should exit State Route 129 at Murphy Crossing Road with southbound motorists encouraged to detour at Rogge Lane.  Electronic message boards will be posted alerting motorists of this work. This full closure is necessary so that Caltrans can replace a failed drainage culvert which was damaged during this past winter’s storms.

The contractor for this $500,000 project is Graniterock Construction of Watsonville, CA.  This project is expected to be complete November 1. Caltrans reminds motorists to move over and slow down when driving through highway construction zones.

For lane closure information on this project and for traffic updates on other Caltrans projects in Santa Cruz County, residents can call the District 5 toll free number at 1-831-423-0396 or can visit our website at: http://www.dot.ca.gov/dist05/road_information.htm
