
Caltrans Traffic Signal Modification Project to Begin in Santa Cruz/Monterey Counties
A project to upgrade traffic signals at six intersection’s in Santa Cruz/Monterey Counties will begin on Sunday June 13.
This project will include lane closures at the intersection of Highway 1 and 41st Avenue in Santa Cruz on Sunday, June 13 or Monday, June 14 during the overnight hours from 9 pm to 6 am. Roadwork is expected to last three hours within this overnight window.
Roadwork will also take place this month during the overnight hours on southbound Hwy. 1 at State Park Drive and Highway 129 at Lincoln Street. Delays should not exceed 5 minutes.
Roadwork on Highway’s 68, 129 and 183 is also scheduled this month. Details will be announced when work hours and dates are certain. One lane and the left turn pockets at each location will remain open.
Motorists are advised to expect delays of up to 5 minutes. Message signs will be in place to assist motorists traveling in the area.
Caltrans reminds motorists to move over and slow down when driving through highway work zones.
