Two Full Overnight Closures on Highway 152 this Wednesday and Thursday

Published March 28, 2017

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY – As part of an emergency project to repair a slope south of Mount Madonna Inn on Hwy. 152 near Watsonville, just south of the Santa Cruz/Santa Clara County line that began late January, Hwy. 152 will have two overnight full closures for cross culvert replacement on Wednesday, March 29 and Thursday, March 30, Caltrans officials have announced.

Roadwork will consist of closing both directions of Hwy. 152, near Mt. Madonna and the county line from 9 pm to 5 am on Wednesday, March 29 and Thursday, March 30. The detour will be State Route 129.

Electronic message signs are posted to alert motorists. Work for cross culvert replacement should complete by Friday morning, March 31, but for entire project, it is expected to be completed in the spring, weather permitting.

The contractor for this $400,000 construction project is Graniterock of Watsonville, CA.

Caltrans reminds motorists to move over and slow down when driving through highway construction zones.
