Northbound Highway 1 at 41st Avenue Now Set for Intermittent Daytime Traffic Breaks Friday Nov. 10 and Monday Nov. 13
Construction continues on a project to build north and southbound auxiliary lanes and bus-on-shoulder improvements on Highway 1 between the 41st Avenue and Soquel Drive interchanges and to construct a new bicycle and pedestrian overcrossing at Chanticleer Avenue.
For Friday Nov. 10 and Monday Nov. 13, travelers will encounter intermittent traffic breaks on northbound Highway 1 between 41st Ave. and Soquel Dr. from 7:30 am to 4 pm both days. Travelers can expect delays of up to 5 minutes.
CHP will be on hand to conduct these breaks and to assist with traffic control.
These traffic breaks will provide additional safety as crews with trucks and heavy equipment work to install the roadway section of the northbound bus lane
The contractor for this $29 million project is Granite Construction of Watsonville, CA. This project is expected to be completed in late 2025.
