Highway 17 Lane Closures 10/25-10/27

Published October 25, 2022

Southbound Highway 17 Set for Lane Closures Next Week

Travelers on sections of southbound Highway 17 will encounter reduction of travel down to a single lane Tuesday thru Thursday next week.

On Tuesday Oct. 25, travelers on southbound Hwy. 17 will encounter a closure of the #2 (right) lane between Alta Vista Lane to just north of the Laurel Curve.

On Wednesday Oct. 26 and Thursday Oct 27, travelers on southbound Hwy. 17 will encounter a closure of the #2 (right) lane between Glenwood Cutoff and Sugarloaf Road.

The hours of the closures on southbound Hwy. 17 each of the three days will be from 9 am to 2 pm.

Message and directional signs will be in place to assist travelers in the area.

Travelers can expect delays of 5 minutes.

These lane closures are necessary for Caltrans maintenance crews to remove small sides and clean drainage infrastructure as part of their winter preparation work.

Caltrans reminds motorists to move over and slow down when driving through highway work zones.

For traffic updates on other state highways in Santa Cruz County, travelers may contact Caltrans District 5 Public Affairs at 805-549-3318 or can visit the District 5 website.
