Highway 17 Overnight Lane Closures Moved to Monday/Tuesday
Overnight lane closures on Highway 17, previously scheduled for Sunday and Monday, have been rescheduled due to rain in the forecast.
Travelers in both directions of Highway 17 near Laurel Curve will now encounter travel reduced to one lane for two nights, on Monday Sept. 19 and Tuesday Sept. 20.
For Monday Sept. 19, and Tuesday Sept. 20, lane closures on northbound Hwy. 17 will take place from 8 pm to 5 am. Closures on southbound Hwy. 17 will take place from 9 pm to 6 am.
Note: in the event that rain persists, and the Monday overnight lane closures are cancelled, the closures will move to Tuesday and Wednesday overnight. An update will be provided Monday to confirm the days and hours of these lane reductions.
CHP will be on hand to assist with traffic control.
Message and directional signs will be in place to assist travelers in the area.
Travelers can expect delays of 10 minutes.
These lane closures will permit crews to perform striping and paving work as construction continues to progress at the Laurel Curve wildlife undercrossing.
