Highway 9 Paving Project Between Felton and Ben Lomond Set to Begin Monday August 19
A major maintenance paving project on Highway 9 is scheduled to begin Monday August 19. The paving project on Highway 9 will take place between Lazy Woods Rd. in Felton and California Dr. in Ben Lomond.
This 2.7-mile paving project will grind off the top layer of existing asphalt pavement and overlay the roadway with the same respective thicknesses using rubberized hot mix asphalt.
A total of seven existing curb ramps within the project limits will also be reconstructed to bring them to current standards for the Americans with Disabilities Act.
One way reversing traffic control will be in effect during both daytime and overnight work hours. Travelers can expect intermittent daytime and overnight delays associated with this work.
Residents in the immediate vicinity of paving work may encounter intermittent noise and vibration associated with paving activities.
Daytime curb ramp work in Ben Lomond will begin Monday August 19, but only in shoulder areas, and will not result in any traffic delays.
Overnight paving work with associated traffic delays will not begin until mid-September. Updates will be provided for every phase of the project.
The contractor for this$2.4 million project is Granite Construction. This paving project is scheduled to conclude October 30.
